"After more than ten shows featuring European artists, I figured it was about time to invite an artist from the U.S.
Greg Schappert, better known as Donor, lives in Brooklyn, New York and is famous for his solid sets and productions both solo and with production partner Truss.

Donor has an impressive list of releases behind his name, with material out on Stroboscopic Artefacts, Prosthetic Pressings, Perc Trax and Thema.
I am a big fan of NY techno, and have been ever since the dawn of labels like Damon Wild's Synewave.

It's therefore that I'm very happy to be able to offer NY-artist Donor a spot on Invite's Choice!"

After a deep exploration of several kinds of electronic dance music, in a broad evolutionary path, Giorgio Gigli's music has assumed an intense and personal form of communication. The modules emerging from his compositions run across a process where moods are transformed into waves, layers and substrates that are ready to catch and overwhelm the listener without changing original content. His skill is to transmit an accurate signal using undiscovered frequencies inspired by desolate and noir tinged landscapes. Giorgio transforms his material. Voids, pitfalls, drones and dilated melodies become intricate, sophisticated, and hypnotic rhythmic equipment that runs the risk of constantly changing classicist techno aesthetics in a conceptual derivation close to his soul.

Giorgio loves ambient music that dues to its descriptive power allows him to analyze and render every vibration and vision, both during production and his long dj sets, where he explores empty rooms that are filled with vintage recordings, ethereal drones and field sonority. This particular working method is also reflected in his harder sets, where rhythm increases tension while it is moving forward unchallenged through industrial echoes, robotic tricks and building grooves that produce shaped variations of his meaning. Substance thickens to provide a thoughtful and reflexive listening experience.

Smoke machine podcast has finally come to a milestone setting 50th release; not only we had to thank all the audiences’ support, and also all the participating artists. Our 50th podcast release is a very formidable mix from natural/electronic.system., this release was planned very long time ago, because we knew their music never disappoint. We had to especially thank the mnml ssgs crew, for their timeless top quality past natural/electronic.system. mixes, and for inviting n.e.s to Tokyo this March, the 7 hour event at Module and the 3 hour event in Dommune became some of the best show this year, which we were part of it, from deep, psychedelic to enchanting melodies blending perfectly together, all so seamlessly and enjoyable no one would want to miss any second of it, and that left us with a unforgettable experience and a high respect to them. We just have to let you have the same wonderful experiences.

In this mix you can hear a large quantity of futuristic sounds which you had never heard from the previous Smoke Machine mix, you will dance to the rhythm, you can close your eyes and imagining that the natural/electronic.system. is coming to our ORGANIK2012 outdoor party. Listen to this mix carefully, its pure beauty will cure your bruises and sooth your pains inside your heart… especially in an outdoor environment. For us the Smoke Machine crew, the 50th podcast is just another beginning, we knew searching for a special mix is not an easy task; thankfully n.e.s has fulfilled our desire this time. We hope that through those podcasts we can share quality music as much as possible. Thanks again to natural/electronic.system. for their wonderful heart felt mix, Enjoy.

Ideal Podcast Vol. 18 - Terence Fixmer
    http://www.facebook.com/label.idealaudio?filter=2
    http://www.terencefixmer.com/

Sombre, defined by surging rhythmical structures, Terence Fixmer’s music appeals as much to dancing feet, as it does to the searching soul.

Respected by his peers and adored by fans of radical over- and underground techno, electro, equally at ease in the club or at a pure techno festival, Terence reached this respected level, without ever succumbing to excessive promotion or subscribing to the mainstream.

His sound avoids repetition by developing soundscapes that appeal to the club crowd, whilst still maintaining musical depth and integrity. As a pioneer, he above all preserves an original style, an increasingly experimental, simultaneously ruthless and unrelenting interpretation of modern techno, which is instantly recognizable.

The West Country based producer might not be the most prolific, but he has certainly developed a distinct sound, focusing on a forthright, swinging and smacky production style that has graced a disparate but well respected clutch of UK labels thus far. Tessela first swung into focus with Slugger, the out of the blue debut for Irish beat botherers All City, before arising with meaty contributions to the 2nd Drop label and Punch Drunk. The latter was perhaps one of our favourite 12”s on Peverelist’s all conquering label in recent times, with “Channel” in particular demonstrating a rugged panache for box jam beats and cracking MPC funk.

The early promise Tessela showed on a remix of Truss for Perc Trax will be explored further with his forthcoming remix shaped contribution to the next release on the fledgling Vae Victis imprint from Die Roh duo Luca Segato and Marco Zanin.

The scene was set for a Juno Plus podcast then, and Tessela duly obliged with a thumping hour’s worth of music that throws in a tantalising sound of what to expect from Sunil Sharpe’s EP for Blawan and Pariah’s label She Works along with contributions from Juno Plus favourites D’Marc Cantu, Gerry Read, Alex Coulton and Geeeman. Tessela was also kind enough to engage in a bout of email Q &A for us.

And now, 2012 will bring the trilogy of self-titled albums by Clubroot to a close, culminating with III – MMX, and with it, LoDubs is honoured to be the presenter of 13 new tracks, in a program clocking in over one hour, consisting of his most refined, touching works to date, which demonstrate an interwoven and otherworldly understanding of the depths, atmospheres, and potential shapes of low end melody and frequencies perhaps only seen in fleeting glimpses in other forms of sound in the past. We just hope you have a capable stereo….And with that, the trilogy is complete.

  • Shaggy – Stand Up - Donna Summer is dead. Here’s some dancehall instead. Shaggy, best known for his commercial smashes has got a load of more “credible” tracks in his back catalogue. Among them this heavy dancehall chugger from his 2004 Clothes Drop album sampling Keith and Tex /The Spanishtonians. To be fair, the rest of the album is bollocks.
  • Acid One (Snuff Crew Instrumental Remix) - ACID HOUSE JACKER - Rave synth stabs, jacking beats and gurgling 303 lines: It’s all gone a bit 90′s for this solid acid track from Sydney’s Bang Gang crew.
  • Shakes – Gangbusters [Gella Remix] - BREAKBEAT RAVE GROOVE A superb driving groove that goes to prove that there is life yet ni the hackneyed old dog of breaks. Admittedly the dog is half blind, can’t feed itself and smells like death but it’s breaks. Call it “Future Jungle” if you like but it’s still going to shit all over your [...]
  • Escort – Starlight - SUPERB DISCO HOOK Drums Of Death fucked up this track and named it, quite rightly, DRUMSOFDEATHFUCKSUPANESCORT. It never occurred to me that DOD had actually remixed Escort so when I stumbled across this on last years Escort LP I was spunking rainbows for the rest of the afternoon.
  • Grand Master Flash – This Sunday @ Brixton Club House - Grand Master Flash is warming up for me on Sunday at the Brixton Club House for the next instalment of the “Up On Roof” all-day rooftop parties in South London. Which is nice. Apparently his rider lists a bunch of tunes that mustn’t be played before he gets on the decks. But seeing as I’m [...]
  • Gregory Jolly – What Em Doin Is My Business (Sensus Soul Funk Lounge Remix) - It’s usually good advice to steer clear of anything that waves around the “Funky” adjective like a piss head with his cock out. Similar advice applies to anything that proports to be “jazzy”. Clicking carefully on this Sensus Soul remix throws all that good advice down the shitter and drums up this superb refix that [...]
  • Duff Disco – 6Pac - DEEP AND DOPE Duff Disco announced a little while back that he was to cease production of his superb vinyl bootlegs. Either the PRS came knocking or he was simply wracked with guilt from sampling Mark Morrison. How could he sleep at night knowing he’d diddled “The Mack” out of a few quid ? Taking [...]
  • Marvin Gaye – Aint That Peculiar (Oddisee Remix)
  • Mooqee – Supacat Police - ALL STAR REGGAE MASH Okay, I got one:Cutty Ranks, Bob Marley and KRS ONE walk into a bar, right. The joke unfolds with hilarious consequences. Unless the barman happens to be gay then it’s really not going to end well.
  • SPD – TUNWAN - AFRICAN LICKED FUTURE GARAGE Slime Recordings go right back to the very roots of civilisation for this superb,African licked, bass excursion. Forging a strong debut for its 32nd release SPD demonstrates the attention to production values and sophistication that keeps the Slime Records flag flying high.
